My puppies are raised with methods from the Puppy Culture curriculum and Badass Breeders curriculum. I use information from these curriculums to know what to expose the puppies to and when. This allows them to be socialized to age appropriate things before they go to your home.
During the first 2 weeks of our puppy’s lives we do Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI). ENS consists of 5 gentle and short steps of holding the puppy in certain positions to cause gentle stress to the puppy. This stress encourages their nervous system to respond and adapt, creating a stronger neurological system and healthier hearts. ESI involves introducing the puppy to a different scent every day to kick start their noses and also expose them to various scents to increase their confidence as they get older.
At 3 weeks old we introduce 10 step handling, which is a process of desensitizing puppies to touch. We rub their mouths, cover their eyes, rub their ears, play with their toes - all things that can help them get used to being touched in many different ways. We also start introducing to loud, brief sounds at this age to start desensitizing to noise.
In the next weeks we start introducing new things in their play area, taking them to new rooms, introducing a potty area and then a crate. All in attempt to help them be ready for their homes at 8 weeks old!

We feed our pups Purina Pro Plan Puppy. The puppies will come to you on a schedule of eating solid food 2 times per day.

I usually let my puppies out first thing in the morning around 7 AM. Quiet time at night begins at 8;30 PM. Often they are in their kennel or put away at this time. I let out again before I go to bed at 10:30. I will wake up and let puppies out to potty as needed, but potty time is strictly business in the night.

We vaccinate our puppies between 6-8 weeks old, and they will need booster shots 3 weeks after that. We will always provide you the date of vaccinations to help you know when to schedule the next doses.
We encourage “paws off the ground” prior to being fully vaccinated. This means that puppies should not walk around in public areas before their vaccine regimen has been completed. This is the best way to protect them from serious and deadly disease.

We send our puppies off to you at 8 weeks old receiving as much socialization that we can give them. The time between 8-16 weeks is an extremely essential time for socialization, which can make it difficult when you are keeping your puppy’s paws off the ground to protect them from disease. You can still get the socialization necessary while keeping them safe. Some ways to do this would be to carry them into stores such as Home Depot or others that allow pets. You can also take them to a park, but you would either need to carry them, keep them in a stroller, or let them play on a blanket and bring a pee pad with you.
Socialization can also include things at home such as hosting a party, meeting lots of new people, exposures to new or loud sounds, exposures to new textures. We will send a socialization check list home with you as well.
Once your puppy’s vaccines have been completed, please take them places and try to have positive associations with new things! You can also sign them up for puppy socialization classes.
We don’t recommend dog parks as a means to socialize your puppy. Dog parks are full of disease and unregulated dogs, and could be more detrimental than beneficial.

In order to have access to this health guarantee you must have your puppy meet with a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days of pick up and purchase of puppy for a well-visit. Documentation (such as a receipt) must be provided to the breeder of this vet visit as well.

We send home a grooming info sheet to our new puppy parents that helps guide on this. With our doodle puppies, we encourage puppy parents to start brushing their puppy frequently and right away. This helps them get used to the process.
Please set up an appointment with a groomer for after the puppy has received their vaccinations. You do not need to have the groomer do a full cut on them, as it is hard to see that puppy fur go right away. We do encourage you to ask for a sanitary groom for their first groom. This trims their potty area, paws, and usually around the eyes. Starting off with a smaller groom like this is good to socialize them to the grooming process.
Doodles need to be brushed daily. Please view this video on line brushing to help you avoid any unwanted shaving incidents at the groomer!

We can send our puppies all across the United States using flight nannies from Pups on the Fly. This company will transport puppies on airplanes using flight nannies that stay with the puppies the whole time. We have used them for our puppies before and have felt very safe. They will provide a quote to you, but usually cost between $600-$1200.

A guardian home is an opportunity to get one of our pick of the litter puppies at no cost, but we retain the breeding rights of the dog.
For a female, this means we would need access for breeding related health testing and veterinary appointments, as well as for breeding and whelping.
